날씨(weather), 명암(contrast), 시간(time), 거리(distance), 계절(season)

상황, 사정을 막연하게

1. How goes it with you? 요즘 경기가 어때요?

2. How is it with your business?

3. It is all over with him. 볼장 다 보았다 = He’s ruined.

4. It goes hard with me. 사정이 매우 곤란하다.

5. We must fight it out to the end.

6. At last we’ve made it.

7. I had a good[fine] time (of it). I enjoyed myself.

             I had a hard time (of it).

~인 것 같다 = it seems that ~

1. It seems that no one knew the truth.

2. It happened that I sat beside her in the theater. ~우연한 것이었다

3. It chanced that he was out when I called. 마침 ~였다.

 

1. “Have you ever seen a nuclear submarine?”

             “No, I have never seen __one_.” 특정한 것 = it / 막연한 것=one

2. I took _it__ for granted that he would comply with our request.

             Take it for granted ~을 당연히 여기다
